Bell Breakers

Alright, so I am sure by now you have (hopefully) heard about Danger Mouse's most recent collaboration with the Shins', front man, James Mercer. Well, the two formed a side-project called Broken Bells and have released their debut album's single "The High Road". Their self-titled album hits shelves on March 9, 2010 - forever far, I know BUT they have offered a free download of their single directly from their homepage. Please do yourself a favor and give this a listen. If you're a fan of the Shins, then you will most definitely love this. For all of you fanatics, Broken Bells is offering dope pre-order packages including a huge ($40) boxset and less expensive alternatives for vinyl ($20) and CD-enthusiasts ($12) here. Let me know what you think!

My dear friend, Bradley, sent me a link to this music video for KORB's "I'll Be Gone". I instantly loved both the song and video. This puts "Virtual Insanity", previously my favorite music video, to shame. Take a peak for yourself:

BYT Presents 2010: A Space Fantasy

So we're at it again - BYT is back at the Capitol Skyline hotel! After being personally asked to come in on New Year's Eve and host a hotel-wide party, we had no choice but to gladly accept this generous offer. The event being less than a week away, I am sure that many of you are already set with your NYE festivities but in the event that you are not, please check out this event. It's $45 for open bar (not rail junk either) and we have a boat load of great DJs holding down the fort, AutoRock and FatBack to name a few. Also, check out this sweet video my buddy and BYT's esteemed graphic designer, Erik Loften, put together (turn up your speakers!).

Listening Party: Vermilions

My buddies Evan, Dan, and Jeremy are making their DC debut tonight at Velvet Lounge. I have had the pleasure of seeing the Vermilions play a slew of shows ranging from house shows to coffee shops to small concert venues and they have FUCKING rocked at each show. Do yourself a favor and head out tonight and catch them open for Donora. Check them out here:
